Pickleball Paddle Launch Event: A Fusion of Art, Sport, and Style

A couple weeks ago, I gathered some of Austin’s finest women at my bestie Anna’s beautiful home, to celebrate the launch of my Tangerine x Erin Donahue Tice Pickleball Paddle collection. We also had the chance to test out the new paddles out on the court with local Pickleball coach Amy Yarborough.

Surrounded by fellow artists, influencers, and friends, all clad in one of my favorite active wear brands, Addison Bay, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. In addition to a brand new outfit by Addison Bay, every guest was gifted with one of Weezie's charming striped pickleball towel and of course a new paddle. Our new paddle collection boasts two distinct paddles - The Genevieve and The Ivy Manor, and each is double sided allowing for even more creativity and fun on the court! It was fun to see both patterns in action.

Watching everyone embrace the game with enthusiasm despite a variance in skill level was so fun. I am newer to the sport and am just catching on to the game. I didn’t grow up as a tennis player, so it’s been fun to attempt a less intimidating game. It’s something you can play with your spouse or a group of friends and moves quickly. Pickleball continues to be the fastest growing sport in America, and it’s so fun to be a small part of this hot trend.

After the game, we gathered for a festive brunch on Anna’s gorgeous terrace, catered by local Austin favorite Swedish Hill. As I looked around, seeing my designs come to life and people enjoying the paddles, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the incredible community that had come together.
