As y'all know, I typically work LARGE, but every now and then, I get in the mood for a change of surface and also a change of subject. So for the past several weeks, I've been giving my mind a little breather with these small and sweet floral works on paper. I like stretching my artistic abilities into new territories, and the mini floral collection I launched earlier this year was such a hit, I decided to expand my inventory and create some new pieces in the same vein.
I also have worked on some more traditional abstract paper pieces this year that haven't found their way to my website, so I thought it would be fun to throw them into this collection for those of you who have been asking for small abstract pieces.
These pieces were created on cold-pressed watercolor paper, which soaks in the paint so beautifully due to the porous nature of the paper. Each piece is full of texture, and I would think a grouping of several botanicals would look so pretty.
I hope you find one (or more!) to love.
