There’s something truly magical about Beaver Creek in the winter—the snow-dusted mountains, twinkling lights, and the charming village feel. Our family recently took a trip to this beautiful Colorado destination, staying at the Beaver Creek Lodge, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From skiing and ice skating to incredible dining experiences, every moment was filled with adventure, warmth, and delicious food.

Where We Stayed: Beaver Creek Lodge

Nestled right in the heart of the village, Beaver Creek Lodge was the perfect home base for our winter escape. With cozy accommodations, ski-in/ski-out convenience, and breathtaking mountain views, it made our stay feel both luxurious and effortless. After a long day on the slopes, curling up by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa was absolute perfection.

Dining Highlights

One of the best parts of any trip? The food! Beaver Creek and the surrounding areas are full of incredible restaurants, and we made sure to experience some of the best local spots.

• Citrea – This became our go-to for both dinner and après-ski. While the boys ice skated, we sipped on handcrafted cocktails and enjoyed warm, hearty dishes that hit the spot after a chilly day.

• Blue Moose – A must-visit for a laid-back pizza night. Their classic, thin-crust pizzas were a hit with the whole family!

• Charter Steak House – When we were craving a more refined dining experience, Charter Steak House delivered with perfectly cooked steaks and fresh seafood.

• Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch – We enjoyed live music and drinks in their cozy lounge before heading to their sushi restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of elegant ambiance and fresh sushi was a highlight of the trip.

• Alpen Rose (Vail) – This was a truly unique experience! Dining in a private gondola while indulging in rich, delicious fondue made for such a fun and cozy evening.

• Northside Kitchen – The perfect brunch spot! We started one of our mornings here with fluffy pancakes, avocado toast, and rich, aromatic coffee.

• Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea – Beaver Creek Café – A daily stop for a caffeine boost! Their selection of locally roasted coffee and specialty teas made it a favorite morning ritual.

• Rimini Café – A charming little spot where we indulged in decadent crepes and rich hot cocoa—an absolute must after a day of skiing.

Family Friendly

Beyond the incredible food, our trip was filled with activities that made it an unforgettable experience for the whole family. The boys had an amazing time ice skating in the village, and of course, the skiing was top-notch. Beaver Creek’s well-groomed slopes, breathtaking scenery, and family-friendly runs made for the perfect ski days.

Evenings were spent strolling through the picturesque village, popping into boutique shops, and cozying up by the outdoor fire pits. The festive atmosphere made everything feel straight out of a snow globe!

Beaver Creek stole our hearts, and this family getaway was one for the books. Whether you’re looking for world-class skiing, unforgettable dining, or simply a cozy winter escape, this mountain town has it all. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!
