I just got back from the most magical gifted trip to the Rosewood Bermuda, and I’m still pinching myself. This was one of those rare trips that felt both like a total escape and a full-circle career moment. I was invited to see my new Shell Collection—which quietly sold out before its official launch in early June (thank you!!)—installed in the hotel lobby. To see something I dreamed up in my Austin studio now living in a five-star Caribbean resort? Truly surreal.
But beyond the art, it was the experience of being there—the place, the people, the pink sand beaches—that left me speechless (which doesn’t happen often!).
A Warm Welcome & Room With a View
From the moment we arrived, the Rosewood team made us feel completely at home. We checked into a gorgeous ocean-view suite with soft neutral tones, Bermuda-inspired decor, and a breezy terrace where I had my morning coffee each day (with the best ocean soundtrack). Every detail was thoughtful—from the monogrammed pillowcases to the beach tote ready to take to the shore.
Pool Days & Snorkel Adventures
One of my favorite things was just spending time by the stunning pool. We spent an entire day there—lounging, reading, and snacking on fresh fruit skewers—and I may or may not have done a little daydreaming about new shell-inspired pieces while floating under the sun.
On another day, the hotel arranged a snorkeling excursion for us, and it was incredible. We saw tropical fish, coral reefs, and even a sea turtle (!!). It was the kind of experience that makes you feel like a kid again—completely in awe.

Beachside Bites & Sunset Sips
The Beach Club Restaurant quickly became our go-to lunch spot. You really can’t beat grilled fish tacos and a frozen cocktail with your toes in the sand. And in true Rosewood fashion, they had live music in the afternoons—think steel drums and acoustic guitar—giving the whole place this warm, happy energy.
For dinner, Island Brasserie was a standout—elegant but relaxed, with fresh, local ingredients and a seriously good wine list. We also loved Sul Verde, the hotel’s Italian restaurant at the golf club. The burrata was chef’s kiss, and the view of the rolling greens with the ocean in the distance? Just stunning.

Cocktails & Cozy Moments
We made a little ritual of starting the evening with cocktails at Tucker’s Bar—the guava margarita was a personal favorite—and ending it at the Conservatory Bar & Lounge, curled up with espresso martinis and late-night conversation. The vibe there was so chic and cozy, with dim lighting and the sound of soft jazz playing in the background.
Spa Bliss, Gym Time & a Quick City Break

A Full-Circle Moment
The real reason for this trip—the art—made everything even more meaningful. Seeing my Shell Collection hanging in the lobby, watching guests pause to admire it, and hearing their reactions was such a pinch-me moment. This collection has been my most personal yet, inspired by summers on the East Coast, long walks collecting shells, and the quiet joy of arranging them into something beautiful. To see it all come to life in such a stunning space was something I’ll never forget.
Already Dreaming of a Return
If you’re planning a trip to Bermuda—or just need something dreamy to add to your bucket list—I can’t recommend Rosewood Bermuda enough. The attention to detail, the genuine hospitality, the food, the views… it’s luxury without any pretense. Just beauty, calm, and creativity around every corner.
This trip was a gift in every sense of the word, and I left feeling totally inspired.
Thank you, Rosewood, for making it unforgettable—and for giving my shells such a beautiful home.
xo,
Erin
